
Galvanized Steel Prototype Cart with Moisture-Proof Insulation
Custom prototype cart assembly with galvanized steel profiles, galvanized sheet and stainless steel — 3D CAD design, welding and conventional machining, 1/16" accuracy in Baja California.
Challenge
A one-off prototype cart with a specialized design was required: galvanized steel profiles, galvanized and stainless sheet, with an insulated interior to keep water and moisture out. No off-the-shelf product existed, so it had to be designed from scratch and assembled with functional accuracy.
Solution
3D CAD design of the cart plus full in-house fabrication: material cutting, galvanized profile frame welding, conventional machining in 1018 and galvanized steel, sheet cutting, painting and final assembly with interior moisture insulation. Complete mechanical structure delivered, sealed and functional.

3D CAD design
3D model of the prototype cart: profile frame, sheet cladding, covers and mounting points. Dimensions defined to 1/16" accuracy.

Material cutting
Cutting and prep of galvanized PTR profiles: layout, squaring and grinder cleanup for clean weld joints.

Frame welding
Tack-up, fixturing and welding of the frame on the table with squares and clamps. Squareness checked at every joint.

Sheet cutting
Galvanized and stainless sheets cut to fit each cart face, position-marked for cladding.

Painting
Surface prep and painting of body and frame for protection and a uniform industrial finish.

Assembly & insulation
Cladding, sheet fastening, machined base plates and interior insulation against water and moisture. Mechanical structure delivered ready to use.
Result
Prototype cart mechanical structure delivered, clad and sealed with interior moisture insulation. Assembly accuracy verified at 1/16" (1.5875 mm), with structural welding and a painted finish ready for service.

Yes. On this project we clad with galvanized/stainless sheet and sealed the interior against leaks. Ideal for outdoor equipment.
